Kir Royale

I remember the first time I tasted Kir.  We were at “My Father’s House” having a fund raiser for our trip to Israel.  Ken and I went with Kathy and Darrell Morgan to volunteer at Shevet Achim and help remodel a kitchen.  Every time I make this cocktail I think of that lovely evening with friends.

The recipe is so simple, two ingredients and a garnish but it is sophisticated in taste.

I love the color of this drink in the coupe from Crate and Barrel.
